Fair Usage & Academic Integrity

Larb IQ is a study tool designed for learning reinforcement. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of AI-generated quizzes, conversational tutoring (LarbAI), automated study strategies (Planner), AI detection, and text humanization does not violate any local academic policies or honor codes.

The AI Detector is provided as an informational tool to help you understand writing characteristics. It should not be used as the sole determinant of academic dishonesty. The Humanizer feature is intended to help make AI-assisted drafts sound more natural for editing purposes — it must not be used to submit AI-generated work as your own.

AI features are metered dynamically on a pay-as-you-go word basis to maintain high-quality neural processing capacity for all users. Dynamic costs are calculated based on the number of words processed.

Billing & GHS Balance

Larb IQ operates on a flexible GHS balance. You may top up any amount between GHS 10 and GHS 500 directly using Paystack.

Balance is consumed per action based on word usage: all AI features including quiz generation, chat messages, and text humanization are charged dynamically at approximately GHS 0.014 per 1,000 words for Nano-powered features, up to GHS 0.052 per 1,000 words for GPT-5 and Claude. There are no expiry dates on your balance.

We offer refunds only if a technical failure on our end prevents your balance from being updated or used. All completed AI processing is non-refundable as it represents delivered compute services.

AI Detector & Humanizer

The AI Detector analyzes submitted text against common AI writing signals (perplexity, burstiness, repetitive patterns) and returns a probability score. Detection results are estimates, not definitive proof of AI authorship.

The Humanizer rewrites submitted text to reduce detectable AI patterns. You retain full ownership of any text you submit. Larb IQ does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content or the rewritten output.

You may not use the Humanizer to plagiarize, bypass content policies of other platforms, or misrepresent authorship. Violation may result in account suspension.

Personalization & AI Memory (Plus)

On the Plus tier, our AI is designed to remember every useful preference of the user. We securely embed summaries of your past interactions to provide a deeply personalized learning experience that adapts to your unique study habits.

We want to assure you that your messages and data are completely safe. All memory embeddings are stored securely, linked only to your account, and are never shared or used to train external public AI models. Your conversations remain strictly private and confidential.

Account & Data Persistence

GHS Balance topped up on Larb IQ is stored in your account profile. Session history (chats, quizzes, detection results, humanization records) is maintained as long as your account is active to facilitate continuous learning.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting our support team.

Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

Larb IQ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of our AI tools.

In no event shall Larb IQ be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform, including but not limited to academic disciplinary actions, loss of data, or service interruptions.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page and/or sending an email to registered users. Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
